Creamed Coconut

Creamed Coconut comes in a pure, solid, concentrated block that melts on heating. It is the unsweetened, dehydrated fresh meat of a mature coconut, that has been ground in to a semi-solid white cream.

One of my pantry staples, creamed coconut is so handy to have on hand. Whenever I make a curry and I don't have coconut milk or I just want to make it slightly creamier, I add a few chunks of this stuff into the hot pan.

The hard, white block then melts, adding thick, creamy coconut deliciousness to any meal.

Really useful and super cheap. I buy mine from eith Tesco or Sainsburys but you can also find it online. Just don't confuse it with coconut milk or coconut cream!
